Carolyn Jo Willing

Carolyn Jo Willing, 72, of Indianapolis passed away on May 29, 2025. As a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she spent her life caring for others. She also touched the lives of thousands of people as a Cardiac Technician for over 30 years at Community Hospital East. Her generous and kind-hearted spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She loved to be surrounded by her family, listen to The Eagles, travel, and eat lots of ice cream.

Carolyn is survived by her mother, Mary Pennington; husband, Mickey Willing; daughter, Mary Gilmore (Dave); sons, Todd Willing (Brooke) and Tyler Willing (Kat); grandchildren, Logan, Luke, Laina, and Lucy Willing. She was preceded in death by her father, Astor Campbell and her brother, Tim Campbell.

On Thursday, June 5th, friends and family will gather to celebrate Carol’s life during a visitation at 2pm Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services at 5215 N. Shadeland Ave, Lawrence, IN 46226. There will be a brief service starting at 3pm. No burial service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, Carol requested that memorial contributions be made to Indy Humane to help animals in need.
