Carolyn Sue Knight Davis Cunningham, 90, of Alexandria, Indiana, was welcomed into glory on April 15th, 2025. She was born on February 10, 1935, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Elmer and Erma Knight.
Carolyn graduated from Frankton High School in 1953 and was a long-standing member of Frankton Christian Church. She retired from RCA in Marion, Indiana, and later worked in the office of Lon Brown Insurance Agency in Alexandria.
A woman full of color and personality, Carolyn had a love for purple—so much so, she even had purple highlights in her hair. She was a proud Elvis Presley superfan whose kitchen was decorated with Elvis memorabilia, and she regularly played his music on her Alexa. Her joy for life extended to her love of travel, with Hawaii being her all-time favorite destination. At home, she found peace working in her flower garden and the comfort of animals. Through the years, she lovingly cared for many dogs and cats, with her beloved Airedale (Izzy) being a favorite. In her later years, her cat Sky was a faithful companion while living at Keystone Woods.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Debra (Fred) Quimby of Anderson, Sandra Brummett of Anderson, and Michael (Sheryl) Kelley of Yantiz, Texas; her grandchildren, Jason (Kristin) Quimby, Amanda Quimby, Kari (Brady) Behrman, Brice (Dulce) Kelley, Brock Kelley, Brianna (Kyle) Kelley, and Briley (Matt) Kelley; and great-grandchildren, Kayla Quimby, Tyley Quimby, Kyler Cress, Keagan Cress, Jaci Cress, Sophia Kelley, and Noah Kelley. She is also survived by her sisters, Kathy Friend and Doris Maxey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Edward Davis; her parents; her sister, Barbara Knight; her granddaughter, Kaci Brummett; and great-grandson, Kason Cress.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Frankton Christian Life Center. Family and friends are invited to come share memories and honor a woman who brought warmth, color, and music wherever she went.
