Obituary for Bookie Bowman:
Bookie Bowman, age 71, of Anderson, passed away on May 21, 2024, in Anderson, IN. He was born in New Castle IN on May 22, 1952.
Bookie was not just a dedicated individual known for his career in Lawn and Garden Equipment Maintenance for many years but also a remarkable human being. Those who knew him well remember him as a good person with a kind heart. He had a passion for helping others and approached life with a laid-back and easy-going attitude that brought joy to those around him. infectious positivity and ever-present smile were testaments to his always happy nature.
Outside of work, Bookie found great joy in his hobbies and interests. He thoroughly enjoyed building, re-doing, and making things, showcasing his creativity and hands-on skills.
Bookie faced his final days with courage and grace after battling an extended illness. Although he is no longer with us, his memory will be treasured by his family and friends.
Bookie is survived by his loving family members: wife Linda Bowman; daughter Lisa Mitchell; grandson Cooper Mitchell; sister Janet Conner (Lenvel); nieces and nephews Tammy Day (Carl), Kimberly Kozak (Steven), and Chris Conner; great-nieces and nephews Everly Day, Jacob Conner, Ian Kozak and Iris Kozak; and best friend David Necessary.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Matt Bowman, and brother Larry Bowman.
In honoring Bookie's life and legacy, let us cherish the moments shared with him and remember the impact he made on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing that he touched the hearts of many with his kindness and warmth.
