Always one to care for others, Bobbie worked at Miller's Senior Living Community for five years, where she provided exceptional care and compassion to the residents, and they adored her for her gentle and tender care. Prior to that, she served as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in another nursing home, where her commitment to the elderly was evident. Her work was not just a job; it was a calling that brought her immense joy as she touched the lives of many.
Beyond her professional achievements, Bobbie was an invaluable matriarch. She embraced the role of Chief Babysitter for her five beloved grandchildren, whom she delighted in spoiling with love and attention. Bobbie found immense happiness in family gatherings, often planning these occasions to ensure that all of her loved ones could come together. She particularly cherished holidays, with Halloween holding a special place in her heart as she relished dressing up and distributing candy to excited trick-or-treaters.
Bobbie’s warmth and kindness were felt by all who knew her. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Chuck Watkins, with whom she shared 35 beautiful years. Together they built a loving family, which included their children: Adam (Rachel) Watkins, Charlie (Kayla) Watkins, and Emily (Donnie) Ruggaber.
She is also survived by her precious grandchildren: Lilly, Noah, Raiden, Lucas, and Addilyn, who will miss their grandmother's nurturing spirit and playful nature. Bobbie is further mourned by her sisters, Melinda Burge and Leona Monroe, who will carry on her legacy of love and care.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Martha Monroe, and her parents-in-law, Karl and Helen Watkins. She is also reunited in memory with her dear cousin, Jimmy Combs, and cousin, Vickie Renner, along with her beloved dog, Butter Bean.
