Billie Shea Ellis and Melissa Ellis

Billie Shea Ellis, known to friends and family as Shea, and his beloved wife, Melissa passed away on the 12th of February, 2024, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Shea was born on the 27th of July, 1970, in Murray, Kentucky. Melissa Ellis was born on the 17th of May, 1973, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Shea led a fulfilling life as a hard worker who dedicated his career to selling water softener systems. His work ethic was unmatched, and he approached each day with determination and a strong sense of responsibility. Melissa worked as an activity assistant at a home for the aged, and she gained a heart-felt satisfaction from the work she did with the elderly. 

Both Melissa and Shea were simple, big-hearted people, who touched the lives of many with their kind and generous nature. They were always willing to lend a helping hand and had a way of making those around them feel valued and loved.

In his leisure time, Shea enjoyed sports, especially football and basketball. He was a devoted fan of the University of Alabama football team and the Indiana Pacers basketball team. Shea also found joy in activities like gambling and shooting pool. Melissa, on the other hand, enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also had a deep love for all kinds of animals, but especially for her pet rabbit. Cooking and eating brought this loving couple great pleasure, whether it was whipping up delicious meals at home or dining out for a good bite to eat.

Shea and Melissa will be dearly missed by their surviving family and friends, especially by Melissa's sons: Les, David, and Justin and her three grandchildren; and by Shea's sister, Shara Jernigan.

A service to honor and remember Shea and Melissa's lives will be held on the 26th of February, 2024, in Indianapolis at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services located at 1604 W Morris St. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 12:00 PM and conclude at 1:00 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, and burial will be at Floral Park Cemetery. 

May Shea and Melissa Ellis rest in peace, remembered fondly for their hard work, kind spirit, love for good food, and most importantly, their love for one another.
