Beverly "Joan" Spears, 67, of Indianapolis, was escorted by the angels to her forever home on March 13, 2024. She was born on September 1, 1956, in Burkesville, Kentucky, the daughter of William B. Spears and Judy Criswell.
Joan enjoyed socializing with people and was always known as the life of any party. She had a green thumb and adored flowers. The most important love of her life was her family, especially Chad - the pride and joy of her life.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Chad Spears; her parents, William Spears and Judy Criswell; her sisters, Rita S. Powell and Katy Thompson-Staley; her brother, Chris Overshiner Spears; and her nephew, Rodney James Powell.
Joan was preceded in death by her brother, Brian A. Criswell, and a brother-in-law, Jim Powell.
There will be a visitation for the family and friends of Joan Spears on Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 4:00-8:00PM at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services, 1604 W. Morris Street, Indianapolis. On the following day, March 29, 2024, a funeral service for Joan will be held at Legacy at 1:00PM. She will then be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis.
