Betty (Fryman) Fullen, age 73, of Indianapolis passed from this life to the next on December 21 at the home of her eldest son after prolonged health struggles from which she is now free.
Born February 5, 1952, in Cynthiana Kentucky, Betty was the 16th of 18 children born to Odus and Arphia (McNese) Fryman. She married Bobby Fullen on May 5, 1970, and he proceeded her in death. They were blessed with a large family of 3 children and 20 grandchildren. Betty was a devoted caregiver, both in her professional and personal life. She was a nurse's aide at several senior living facilities on Indy’s eastside before retiring to care for her mother and then her mother-in-law both of whom resided in hers and Bobby’s home.
In addition to her husband and parents, also proceeding her in death were 8 brothers (Lilburn, Hubert, Garnett, Wayne, Bobby Dale, Jimmy, Billy, and Charles) and 7 sisters (Wanda Fryman, Delores Courtney, Shirley Davidson, Jeanette Fryman, Kathy Fryman, Mary Sturgill, and Mattie McNees).
She is survived by brothers Odus “Junior” (wife Reba) and Jerry Fryman (wife Pam), and sons Chris Fullen (partner Krystal Butrum-Woodall) and Kevin Fullen (wife Lucinda), and daughter Kelly Fullen (partner Nate Morgan). Grandchildren left to treasure her memory include Chelsea Fullen (partner, Austin Ferris), Corey Fullen (wife Catherine), Kristen Yarbrough, and Crystal Fullen, Brian Fullen (wife Alexandrea), Rebecca Roberts, and Brianna Roberts (fiance Kaleb Chartand), Jada Fraisier (husband Michael), Zapora Morgan, Leah Morgan, Niyah Morgan, and Nathan Morgan Jr, Brittany Fullen, Tiffany Fullen, Steffany Fullen, Amanda Pender, Josh Mefford, Jacob Mefford, Kaelee Mefford, and Brody Mefford. Twenty-six great-grandchildren also remain, as well as countless nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services Lawrence at 5215 N Shadeland Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46226. Family and friends are welcome to visit from 10am to 11am with services to follow at 11am.
