Ms. Betty Ann Prestel

Betty Ann Prestel, age 86, of Beech Grove, IN went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. She was born on March 23, 1936, to Michael and Gladys (Livers) O’Maley in Beech Grove.

She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy with the Class of 1954. Betty worked for many years in the cafeteria for St. Jude Catholic School.  Her true joy was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Family and faith were very important to her.

She is survived by her children, Anne (Morgan) Clark, Dan (Jill) Prestel and Donna (Scott) Baker; grandchildren, Emelia (Michael) Paff, Grace Clark, Alexandra Prestel, Nicole (Corbin) Peters, Victoria Prestel, Corinne Baker, Duane Baker, and Darcy Baker; great-grandchildren, Nora Paff and Miles Peters; brother-in-Law, Bernard “Bo” (Nancy) Prestel and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Farr. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald L. Prestel; granddaughter, Meghan Clark; brother, James O’Maley and Sister-in-Law, Barbara O’Maley.

Visitation with the family will take place on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church, 5353 McFarland Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46227. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to Franciscan Hospice House or for Masses.  Envelopes will be available at the church.
