Bettie June Appleget

Bettie June Appleget, 93, Indianapolis, IN passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 18, 2023. She was born January 5, 1930, in French Lick Indiana to Sadie and Claude Conrad.

Bettie was married to James “Bill” Appleget for 60 years and was a homemaker who enjoyed doing puzzles and reading. She was also active in local politics and a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the VFW.

She is survived by her sons, William Appleget, Michael Appleget (Janet); daughters Nancy Sizemore (David), and Karen Bailey (Robert). Bettie is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, sisters Jewel Lindamood, Violet Barnes and Juanita Boyer, and her granddaughter Amy Maxfield.

A visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm on Wednesday July 26, 2023, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, Indianapolis, IN, with burial immediately following at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood, IN.
