Benjamin "Jay" Harold Waiters

Benjamin “Jay” Harold Waiters, age 61, passed away on August 12, 2023, at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital. He was born on July 15, 1962, in Bronx, NY to the late Harrison Waiters and Cheryl (Coleman) Waiters.

Jay was someone that always had a smile on his face. He was kind, generous, and a true caregiver. He loved taking care of others, working around the home, doing home improvements. He enjoyed playing video games and spending time with his family. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jay is survived by his wife Anna Waiters; daughter Monique Cuevas; stepchildren Franklin Morales, Esther Bogle, Sokina Santiago, Rachel Moore, Locksann Mateo, Digna Shockney, and Alida Fosque; grandchildren Jeremiah and Joshua; several step-grandchildren; siblings Nicole Carrington, Tyese Waiters, and Talaunda Bolden; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above, and siblings Elvin Sr., Damon, and Shereen.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday August 22, 2023, from 12-2pm with a funeral service beginning at 2pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
