Barbara Jean Reneau, born on June 20, 1949, passed away on May 30, 2025, leaving behind a rich legacy of love and kindness. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith in God, her commitment to her family, and her dedication to her community.
Barbara was a cherished mother, beloved grandmother, and doting great-grandmother. She lead with love, always letting each person in her life know how much she cared. As a fervent prayer warrior, she dedicated her prayers and support to all in her life. Barbara was also deeply committed to giving back to her community. Her service at the Jullian Center and local food pantries showcased her compassionate heart and desire to make a positive impact.
Preceding her in passing were her mother, Betty Jean Reneau; father, James Lewis Reneau; and her brother, James Michael Reneau. She is survived by her daughter, Beth Smith; grandchildren; Jordan Bailey, Katlin Smith, Brian Smith and Cameron Freeman; great grandchildren, Zion and Lola; nieces, Bobbi Barger and Natasha Reneau; and nephew, Jason Reneau.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on June 14, 2025, at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. 1032 S Holmes Ave, Indianapolis, IN. Providing the service will be Pastor Bother Jeff Moran.
