Barbara Ann Faustlin

Barbara (Tackett) Faustlin, 75, of Pendleton, IN, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2023. She was born in Pontotoc County, OK.  She spent her early childhood living in Oklahoma.  Her family, including her brother Jimmy Tackett and her two sisters Tanya (White) Sasaki, and Donna White (deceased), would later move to Overland Park, KS where she graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School.  After her marriage, she moved to Lee’s Summit, MO to raise her family. 

She retired from the University of Kansas Medical Center, where she spent most of her career.  

After retirement she headed west to Denver, CO.  Here, she continued her love of travel by visiting many of the National Parks in the West.  She also got to enjoy her love of cactus in their natural environment.  She would later relocate to Pendleton, IN to be closer to family. 

Barbara was a beloved mother, survived by her daughters Lisa Faustlin (Ric Tursan) and Jodi Faustlin.

A celebration of life will be held in Texas this spring to celebrate Barbara and honor her memory.  Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
