Arlene Frances Holmes

Arlene F. Holmes 77, of San Antonio, Texas, a former Indianapolis resident, joined the church triumphant on October 25, 2016. Arlene was born November 8, 1938, in Springfield Ohio, the daughter of Edgar R. Baker and A. Matilda Baker. Arlene graduated college from Wittenberg University. She worked 20 years as a Customer Service Representative at Indiana Bell. Arlene had been a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church and Bethany Lutheran Church when she resided in Indianapolis. She had spent the last several years enjoying life and participating in various outings and activities at Independence Hill in San Antonio, Texas. Survivors include her son, Bart Edward Williamson and his wife Eila and their two children, Eric and Kayma Williamson of San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Holley M. Holmes and her parents. The family will receive friends at Legacy Funeral Home at 1604 W. Morris Street, Indianapolis, Indiana Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 1:00 p.m.until 3:00 p.m., and a private burial service will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Iacobazzi officiating. Memorial contributions in Arlene's honor may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
