Anita M. Clore

November 11, 1931 — January 10, 2024

Anderson

Anita M. (Reeves) Clore, 92, of Anderson was called home to Heaven on January 10, 2024. Anita was born in Rushville, IN on November 11, 1931, to Mary (Corn) and Roy Reeves. She attended Daleville High School, where she was proud to have been a Bronco’s cheerleader for her entire high school career.

Anita married Billy D. Clore on November 21, 1950, and together they had two children, Steven (Brad) and Elizabeth (Beth). Growing up she loved cleaning house for Ida Marie Hardacre and modeling for Dorothy Blevins. As an adult she worked many jobs including a short time at Delco Remy, Sonitrol and Morris Esche’s, but her favorite job of all was being a wonderful, loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, not only to her own but to many others as well. When she wasn’t busy creating lifelong memories with her family she enjoyed homemaking, cooking, being a cheerleader for her kids and grandkids, “glamping” in the camper, writing about her life with its many twists and turns and feeding her many outside birds; she enjoyed life.

She was a dedicated member to Colonial First United Methodist Church for over 40 years until its closure. Afterward, she attended Gethsemane Foursquare Church where she was an active member as long as she was able to be. However, church or no church, Anita was a devote Christian and was more than ready to meet her Lord and Savior.

She is survived by her siblings Diana Graves, Linda-Sue Evans and Joe Reeves, children Steven Clore and Elizabeth Clore-Dufresne, grandchildren Kortnie Caldwell, Elias Dufresne, Katie Miller and Jessica Smith, great-grandchildren Thomas Smith, Kamren Killion, Elias Dufresne II, Holden Caldwell, Heath Dufresne, Jetsen Caldwell, Ellie-Mae Dufresne, Jasmine Petry and Riley Adams, and great-great-grandchildren Scarlette and Dax Petry, Nikolai Rish and Angelica-Faye Vontress. She was preceded in death by brothers Jerry, Bob and Jack Reeves, sisters Donna Reeves, Ruthanna Cook, and Betty Murphin, her parents and her beloved husband.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Gethsemane Foursquare Church in Anderson, IN on March 16th, 2024, from 1-4pm. In lieu of flowers or monetary donations please bring your favorite dish to the pitch-in that will be held after the service, as “Nita” or “Mawmaw”, would have wanted everyone she loved to have a “full belly” after leaving her presence.
