Angela Kay “Angie” Mitchell, 48, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on May 16, 2026, in Indianapolis. Born on September 9, 1977, Angie brought laughter, love, and light everywhere she went, and she will be deeply missed by so many who knew and loved her.

Angie was strong, determined, and full of life. Later in life, she earned her GED and followed her passion for cooking by attending culinary school. Angie never met a stranger. She could strike up a conversation with anyone, make people laugh effortlessly, and had a way of making everyone feel welcome.

She loved fishing, shopping, music, being creative, and anything that kept her busy. Sitting still was never really her style. Angie was always on the go, out making memories, spending time with loved ones, or finding her next adventure. She had a free spirit and a beautiful soul that naturally drew people to her.

More than anything, Angie loved her family and friends. She cherished every moment spent with them and had a special gift for making people feel seen, loved, and important. Her laughter could light up a room, and her warmth left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Angie believed in God and carried her faith in her heart throughout her life. She was baptized alongside her father, Charlie, and her daughter, Kaylea; a memory that remained deeply meaningful to her.

She is survived by her loving parents, Wanda and Charles Carroll, and her father, Michael Faulkner, her children Kaylea, Charlea, Cody, Ayanna and Gemah, her grandson Logan, her siblings Bobby, Rene, Christopher and Amber, her Fiancé Andrew and many other family members and friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Mike and Charlie, her daughter Hayleigh, her niece Erica and many other loved ones.

Angie’s memory will live on through the countless lives she touched with her humor, kindness, strength, and loving spirit. She will always be remembered for the joy she brought to others and the love she gave so freely.

A Memorial Service will be held on May 22, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Legacy Funeral Home in Lawrence located at 5215 Shadeland Avenue, Indianapolis, 46226.
