Amy Kathleen Anderson

Amy Kathleen Anderson, 57, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on August 25, 2026.

Amy was born on March 24, 1969, in Peoria, Illinois. She spent her childhood in Morton and Tremont, Illinois, and graduated from Morton High School with the Class of 1986. Following high school, she attended Anderson College, now Anderson University, and made Anderson her home for more than three decades.

Amy had a deep love for cats, enjoyed gardening, and cherished time spent with her family. Those who knew her during her younger years remember her as a compassionate and sympathetic person who cared deeply for others facing difficult circumstances. In later years, Amy devoted much of her time to caring for her aging parents, a reflection of her loving and selfless nature.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Renee Carpenter; her uncle and aunt, Everett and Susan Carpenter of Derby, Kansas; her aunt, Gigi Rammling of Sykesville, Maryland; as well as extended family members and friends.

Amy was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Martha Carpenter; her brother, Scott Carpenter; and her grandparents, Lester and Marguerite Hardacre of Anderson and Grandparents Fred and Eunice Carpenter of Charles Town, West Virginia.

Amy's family will remember her fondly and cherish the memories they shared throughout her life.
