Amie Leigh Rejko

Amie Leigh Janette Rejko, 53, of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on December 5, 2025. She was born on December 29, 1971, in Indianapolis. Amie graduated from Lawrence North High School. She worked at Mirage Tanning.

Amie loved music, all different types. And even though she wasn’t the best singer, she would sing along anyways. There were multiple times that she was asked “Who’s the singer of that song”, and when she would answer, the response was “Well, maybe you should let them sing it”. Amie would always laugh, but it never stopped her.

Amie loved to be with her family and play with her grandson, Khyson.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Theresa Grady-Rejko, and father, Micheal Rejko. 

Amie is survived by her daughter, Victoria Vensko (Danell Thornton); partner of 15+ years, Loren Hansford; grandson, Khyson Thornton; brother, Nicholas Rejko; and sister, Lisa Pedro; along with many extended family members and friends.

Visitation is from 2pm to 3:30pm on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with a service to start at 3:30pm.
