Albert "Junior" Cecil Potter Jr.

Albert Cecil Potter Jr., 65, of Anderson, passed away on April 27, 2023, at Community Hospital Anderson. He was born in New Richmond, OH to the late Albert Cecil Potter Sr. and Nancy (Shepherd) Potter.

Junior was a true jokester, always wanting to have fun. He would be shy at first, but once he got to know you, you were his friend for life. He was extremely mechanically inclined and could take a part and rebuild any engine. He was generous to a fault with the people he loved. He sure did have that “A.C. Potter” temper though. Junior had a hard life, having the right side of his brain never fully develop. The doctors said he could never live on his own and he proved them all wrong. He had a heart of gold. He showed his family how to overcome obstacles in life with his determination to live on his own. He was an inspiration to some, and a pain in the butt to others. He was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.

Junior is survived by his siblings Betty Sue Atkins (Lonnie), Marie Irvin, Geraldine McFarland (Bobby), Kenny Potter (Darlene), and Mary Knight (Tony), and several nieces, nephews, and special friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above and siblings Joann Hicks, Margaret Watson, Christine May, and Madeline Anderson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 6, 2023, at Fifth Street United Methodist Church at 1pm,
